WHAT IS 3D PRINTING?
What is this technology and how is it going to change our lives forever? Here a short explanation of 3D Printing and its potential.
Below you can find a link to a detailed article on the technology and different applications.
STEP 1. REPETIER SOFTWARE
In this video tutorial we show you where to download the Repetier software used for 3D Printing your models. We also optimise the printer settings so that your AB3D Printer can run smoothly.
Use the link below to download the Config Bundle that we will load into Slicer.
THE 3D PRINTER
What are the components of the 3D Printer? How do the parts work together to complete a Print?
The technology comes in many forms and executions
Before we start our printer has to be calibrated so that the plastic can be extruded precisely and accurately.

3D MODEL PREPERATION
In this step we take you from a 3D model either created by you in the various 3D modelling software or downloaded on 3D Printing sites such as Thingiverse or GrabCad.
Here we have a video explaining what happens before your object gets printed.

PRINTING YOUR OBJECT
Using the LCD interface and an SD Card we take our prepared 3D model and insert it into the 3D Printer.
In this step applying ABS juice and using the LCD interface will be adressed.

When our filament has run out or we wish to change colours for printing we need to change the filament.
In this video we take you through the steps of changing filaments.
Below you can find out more about filament types.
Sometimes our extruder nozzle will become clogged with dirt on the filament.
ALL3DP has a great article on how to troubleshoot printing defects.
Below you can also use the link to the most common problems faced when a Print is not good.
